Founder and President

A world class strength and conditioning specialist who has trained athletes that have competed in the Olympics, World Championships, NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL.

Mike is the owner of Athletic Edge Sports Performance Conditioning in Bradenton, Florida. Over the past 12 years Mike has trained many elite amateur and professional athletes looking to elevate their sport performance conditioning. This list includes 5 NFL 1st round draft picks, over 85+ NFL Players, NBA, NHL and MLB athletes along with Olympians.

In addition to his training Mike speaks to a wide variety of groups both nationally and internationally on performance training. He has been featured on ESPN, Sports Illustrated, Fox Sports, TSN Canada and write for Mens Health and Mens Fitness magazines.

His innovative training methods and unyielding dedication to his athletes maximizes their performance to the highest level of excellence. The effectiveness of Mike’s work is best measured by his client’s success. After training with him, many of his athletes have gone on to compete at the highest levels of amateur and professional sport.
His style of coaching exudes passion and energy that physically and mentally motivates and inspires those around him.

Performance Specialist

Andrew Emmick is a strength and conditioning coach with over 7 years experience training elite amateur and professional athletes. He is a 2004 graduate of Brescia University, where he also played baseball. He graduated in 2006 with a M.Sc and also holds the NSCA-CSCS certification. He has worked as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in professional baseball since 2006 with the LA Angels of Anaheim and currently the Milwaukee Brewers. He also has been a Performance Specialist at Athletic Edge Sports since 2006 during his off-seasons from baseball.

John was Vice President of Pro Personnel of the Buffalo Bills 2000-2009. Prior to coming to the Bills John served as a College Scout with the Cleveland Browns from 1998-2000. He spent 26 years as an assistant coach in the NFL and in the NCAA’s Division 1 ranks. John coached N.F.L. Pro Bowlers and Hall Of Fame Players. From 1992-1994 served as Special Teams Coordinator with the Pittsburg Steelers and was the DE coach with the Oakland Raiders form 1995-1998, and spent the next 20 plus years coaching Division 1 football at U.N.C. (defensive line), Virginia Tech, Duke (linebackers). Georgia Tech (defensive line and linebackers), University of Alabama (linebackers), and Kentucky (Asst. Head Coach)
